@groggysword33 He’s just a troll who takes the bus.

@groggysword33 Why are trucks prominent in motorsports? In motorsports anything with a motor can be raced, even lawnmowers. It’s entertainment. We keep things fair by separating things by category and racing them against each other. We don’t race F1s against Minis or go karts, right? There is a great Road & Track article about this dated August 7, 2018 “When Volvo Went Crazy With Its Wagons.” In basic terms it states, “Using the wagon meant more glass and metal on a longer wheelbase than an 850 sedan, but the Volvo's low center of gravity and mighty five-cylinder engine made up for any lost agility. And while people thought Volvo raced a wagon for aerodynamic benefits, the reality was that it was a PR decision aimed at ramping up T-5 sales.”

It’s all he does nowadays.

Except it’s not good at being either. Sadly.

@groggysword33 No wagon is ever a good sports car. The shape, size and weight are all things that matter in sports cars. Sadly, it’s also not a good family wagon. It’s way too harsh (ride, steering, power and noise) to be a daily driver and what stuff you do put in the back will fly around the car because you can’t drive it softly. Your passengers will hate anything over 10 minutes spent in it. When the first E AMG came out, it was needed. The regular E wagon was a bloated, underpowered fluff and the bit of extra power and better suspension made the car just better as a car. This thing is just way too much. Too much power, engineering, fuel waste and money.

@groggysword33 You can race a horse against an airplane for all I care, but it’s not done in the world of motorsports. Fairness is a major factor in sports. So sure, you can race wagons against other wagons. Why not? We weren’t talking about racing though. We were talking about sports cars, which isn’t the same as race cars.

Make yours available to him and he’ll do it.

@ObitoUchihaisgay No. We used to get the 3-series touring, but it went away.

@vdevov It’s a compact car. It is a proper wagon going by what makes a wagon, a wagon - its shape. Of course you can consider it a watermelon for all I care.

@vdevov I think you’re lacking basic reading comprehension. A wagon is a long version of a sedan. A hatchback is a shorter version of a sedan or a coupé. That dictionary definition supports it as well. To see a basic difference in plain sight (since reading is not your strong suit) just look at the Golf hatch versus a Jetta (sedan) versus a Golf Sportwagen/Alltrack. Look at their wheelbases and overall lengths. The 3-series touring fits the wagon definition compared to the sedan, not the hatchback definition. “Comparatively long body” is the key there. The funny part is that you’re so ignorant on the subject that you don’t even know a 3-series hatchback was a thing (Compakt) and still is a thing (GT).
