  1. I don’t know what suburbs Doug grew up in, but in New York these weren’t all that popular. They were giant and very expensive, so yeah, if you had a family of 6 kids, you needed a Suburban, but otherwise everyone go by just fine with minivans, station wagons and other SUVs/sedans.
