  5. Max max you’re really stupid if you believe that. Peugeot was always low quality (it was banned from the U.S. because of it), but now... it’s actually even worse! Their styling is often good and interesting, but their engines a horrific, the interior fit is terrible and electronics are sure to have major fails within the first 5 years. I’d pick a Ford or even a GM car over any Peugeot/Cîtroen any day! Too bad, because some of them are nice looking and comfortable, especially the 308. However, everyone knows the Golf is more reliable and nicer to drive. The sales speak for themselves.

  8. 2cvs? Are you comparing them to Ford Model T? You're an idiot. Modern French cars are indeed horrific. Bugatti is an Italian company, headquartered in France, but owned by Volkswagen. The Chiron is designed by Porsche's Achim Anscheidt and based on the old Veyron, designed by ItalDesign's Giorgetto Giugaro.

  10. They don't meet US/Canadian safety and emissions standards as they are. That's why they cannot be imported unless they are 25 years old or older.

  14. One main difference... American cars sold in Europe are tested (and sometimes renamed) for a universal understanding in Europe, while French cars aren't sold in the U.S. at all. This lesson was learned many times. For example, the Chevrolet Nova didn't sell in Latin American because it translated to "No va", which means "doesn't go." Thus, the Ford Escape was sold as a Kuga (Escape isn't pronounced the same in many languages).

  17. First off, GM used to own Opel and sold it to PSA just a couple of years ago. The reason why some Opels are sold under the Buick brand in the United States is because that as an agreement as part of the sale. GM invested into those models' developments. Once they are updated, they won't be sold under a GM brand anymore. So, no, there's no PSA brand to sell them under in the United States as no other PSA brands are sold here. Furthermore, each model would need to comply with US safety standards, which are different than anywhere else. They'd also have to meet US emissions standards, which are also different. All of that would require special development and investment with a belief that the car would sell enough to make a profit. Considering the lack of brand awareness, trust in French reliability (when that trust isn't even there in Europe), an already loaded market and the difficulties of establishing dealership and distribution networks all mean that there's almost no chance that PSA will bring anything here anytime soon. If anything, Fiat is proving just how hard that is and Fiat actually has lots of support from the Chrysler side. PSA's brands are all very European and its focus is on that market.

  20. Just about everything you've listed was OPTIONAL and not necessarily equipped on this car. Apple Carplay and Android Auto, lane change detectors, and panaramic sunroofs are available in just about every car.

  22. I drove the 308 around the UK 2 years ago. It was horrible. Every piece of trim rattled and came apart. The transmission was jerky and the car was clearly laid out taking form in a high priority over function, just like this 3008. Things looked overly styled and impossible to use. I would say Citroen is guilty of the same. Having spoken to some people in Europe about the car, I realize that it also has a horrible reputation of bad reliability for its transmissions and electrical components.

  23. They paid 90% of their attention and budget to the styling and 10% to actual mechanical and electric components of the cars. That's why Peugeots are notorious for poor reliability and performance.
