  2. Some idiots weren’t trained on using NLAWs properly and think they’re the same as RPGs. NLAWs are meant to be used at stand-off ranges, up to a few kilometers away and their missiles need distance to go up, and land on top of the target, as well as to arm.

  7.  @vanishevi4  You must be confusing NLAW with Javelin systems. NLAWs are line-of-sight, PLOS. Once the operator follows and designates a target, the missile follows that without active targeting. As long as you have 20 meters between you and the target, it will have enough distance to arm itself. The arming distance can be adjusted by the operator. The NLAW, unlike the Javelin, WILL fire at a range under 20m, but will not detonate for the safety of the operator.

  8.  @vanishevi4  You’re talking about the PLOS system, which takes 3 seconds to aim. It has NOTHING to do with the arming of the explosive charge, which is set to 20m>. It WILL launch, after it is aimed, even if the target is less than 20 meters away. It just won’t detonate the charge at that distance. Да, её навести займёт 3 секунды, но её запросто можно выстрелить даже если мишень в менее чем 20 метрах от тебя. Ракета просто не взорвётся, для безопасности оператора.
