Is it really that surprising that people who do poorly in competitions would seek to abolish it? That's like playing Monopoly with a toddler, they'll never blame themselves when they loose, they'll just flip the board. It's much easier to put the fault at the systems feet than to face the realization that you're simply incapable of being competitive within it.

@targetfootball7807 "Special people don't see themselves as special" That hasn't been my experience with meeting geniuses & talented athletes. Most of them are quite aware of how unique they are. Fake humility is worse than arrogance imo.

@targetfootball7807 Losers aren't born, they're made. People with no natural talent need to work that much harder to make up for it. Life isn't fair, some people are born rich, some are born with a genetic condition that claims their life within 2 months. The playing field will never be 100% equalized because of the very nature of biology, worrying about things outside of your control is wasted energy imo. These same people should strive towards greatness & become advocates for the weak & destitute if they so wish. You'd find that most of them, however, become advocates of this competitive system you denounce once they start being good at it. This is why we're still here today and why we'll still be there in 1000 years, as I tried to convey in my original post.
