  1. It'd be also cool if hospitals stopped triple billing to bypass the insurance and extort even more money from us. Receiving 5 different bills for the same ER visit is ludicrousness

  2.  @garciav3  Can relate. Expensive insurance through employer, paying a good chunk of money for it monthly for me + partner. That type of insurance is only available because I work for that firm and is essentially as good as it gets. ER + specialist still cost way too much. And I'm fully aware of how privileged I am because I see on the bill the price I'd be paying without this insurance. 450$ for a routine visit at the dentist? 700$ for a visit to the ER that last 15 mins? 500$+ for a blood test? With or without insurance the entire US medical system is rigged to make people cough out as much money as possible
