  1. Jussie clearly has never been beaten up in his whole life. The fact he took that picture and thought: "Oh yeah this is what a victim of a lynching would look like" shows how pampered he is.

  2. Meh? Unlike the modern hippie representation of him would have people thought, Jesus wasn't some dude with long hair walking around with sandals and letting people walk all over him. The New Testament offers numerous instances of him taking out his sword and fighting over what he believed in and overall being an efficient leader. Sure, he isn't some effigy of masculinity and gore like the Nord Gods of Olds were but he's far from being a "victim" (and reading his crucifixion as simple prostration & victimization would be greatly reducing the symbolic significance of the act.)
