prices are increased almost everywhere that is not just a European thing so you can not really blame governments for that, but the prices of housing has to do with both elderly people and many immigrants that look for homes. Now they do not really want immigrants anymore because AI is going to take a lot of jobs away so people will lose jobs the coming period of time. They will need to deport people maybe for the future to come, but aside from that in Rome in Italy there is an issue with "foreigners" because they do steal stuff from you just like in my European country haha so that actually is a real thing. We even get Polish or Bulgarian people stealing cars in our country haha, so we do have an issue that needs to be fixed. We shouldn't pretend that there is no issue at all. It is just not as overextreme as some of these rightwinged media make it out to be. We are still generally very safe to walk around without having to worry about your safety, but people stealing your phone is possible in the biggest cities mainly then.
