Firestone "made in America" are some of the worst tires on the market. The factory was built in 1928...almost 100 years ago.

You are correct in that manufacturers have specified quality standards. Tires that do not meet this standard are sold aftermarket

The only additional weight on a vehicle when towing is tongue weight and that must be within the vehicle load spec which is within the tire spec

In my 40+ years of driving, I have had tires with slow leaks due to a nail puncture but having a portable air compressor will refill it and get me home. I have NEVER had to change a tire on the road

I refuse to pay the price for the brand name tires. I have been using Chinese made tires for 2 decades and can usually get the exact size with high performance ratings at half the price of the common brand names. And no they are not trash. I have gotten 60k + miles on every set, wear even and never had a problem. BTW, The Firestone factory was built in 1928 and it is antiquated. Anything is better than a Firestone

If the center of your tire is wearing more than the outer, then lower the pressure and vice versa

The Firestone factory was built in 1928. While they have updated some equipment, their quality is horrible.

storing a car for a long period without moving will cause "flat spots" . Storing tires on wood minimizes the dry rot from contact with concrete.
