You would think the Senator would quickly have some conservative author's book to cite on the benefits of the 2001 tax and estate tax cuts. I wouldn't expect him to know that book so well the he could rattle off 3 bullet points in a few seconds. Maybe somebody can post a comment with such a book or books.

@garysmokesmeat I have gotten a couple of letters from the IRS. There was no violence involved. They showed me the rules and my error so I fixed it and that was the end of it. That's just me. Maybe you saw something.

@garysmokesmeat I think I did leave an IRS letter in my inbox too long. They sent another letter and announced my penalty had gone up due to more time passing by. So I paid it. I did talk to an IRS guy once and he did say they eventually send a contractor and the Sheriff to your house to take enough stuff to auction and pay what is owed. He didn't say anything about me going to jail or getting beaten for it. Hyperbole can be fun, but it can get out of hand if it misleads people as to what really goes on.
