This is where big States like California and New York need to reach out to these agents and let them know they have a place to go. These States will strengthen themselves in doing so, increasing their capacity to deter the illegal acts of the Trump administration. States can find out which corporations needed the law enforcement activities of these agents and fund the continuance of those missions with some help from those corporations. Weakening the FBI is a divisive act that I am sure is seen favorably by Putin, Xi and others as the US implodes like this. States are a bright spot. They can govern and maintain a measure of stability. These agents should resist dismissal until the States provide them with a new position. As word gets around, I think these agents will get all kinds of offers. They are some of the best people we have, and it is a blunder to fire them over January 6th. Are we headed back to the Articles of Confederation?
