I did not have even a semi-organized understanding of sociopathy until reading Martha Stout's "The Sociopath Next Door" in my mid-50s. How can I expect the majority of the general population to understand there are people operating with little or no conscience? I encourage all manner of media to make the phenomenon more widely and better understood.

Or federal statute: 18 U. S. C. §2383. How does this not apply? Congress has acted. And the Justice Department is acting. They need the immunity assertion decided, and that's been delayed.

They use the word "strong", and imply the rest of us are weak.

Trump uses a palette of talking points to gather them: anti-woke, NATO allies with low defense budgets, any other foreign aid, ethnocentrism.

They lacked the good sense and professional connections to recommend better people than themselves to President Trump for these gravely important positions.

A bit dramatic, but apt in this case.

18 U. S. C. §2383. Does this presume the allegation of insurrection originates with the US Attorney General?

Per Dr. Martha Stout, in her book "The Sociopath Next Door" approximately 3% of the male population and 1% of the female population in the US are sociopaths. Sociopaths are not formally diagnosed as ASPD until reaching the age of 18. Per the US Census Bureau, approximately 78% of the US population is 18 or older. This is 262 million out of the 336 million current US population. This would put the number of sociopaths in the adult population at approximately 10.5 million.

Trump is in narcissistic submission to Putin. Study it. It's tragic. He is not fit for the Office. It is time to start impeachment and discharge.

It seems the SCOTUS feels that no American takes their oath to defend the Constitution seriously. It was not for them to consider how the public might react to their ruling. That is in the hands of the Executive.

The need to get out the vote and media's interest in a precarious and suspenseful election battle mutually reinforce. If a popular national vote selected the President, like popular state votes select senators, this would be a more predictable election. The Electoral College was intended to tilt the field to the rural gentry. Today, couple with gerrymandering, it destabilizes American politics.
