  1. Fascinating making a connection between general anesthetics and quantum mechanics. I was determined to see how long I could stay awake when I was given anesthetic gas and told to breathe. No luck. My "wave function" did indeed collapse quickly and waking up in another room with no accurate sense of how much time had gone by was odd. Nurse humor soon lightened my state of mind.
