Ukraine turned over Soviet nuclear weapons to Russia. The West encouraged that in the interest of stability. That was one of the greatest de-escalations in human history. Russia was supposed to respect Ukrainian jurisdiction in exchange. 1994 Budapest Memorandum. US and UK pledged to support the Memorandum. So the Western weaponry will keep coming. Bust a deal Russia, face the consequences. Thousands of ordinary Russian lives sacrificed for the vanity of the Siloviki. Nothing special about Russia. It's as sick as America or any other country today.
