@Ofasia777 It is rather sobering that Ukraine calculated it would be better to not sign the mineral deal in the hope that a new American administration in 2029 would be willing to amend to more reasonable terms. It would seem Ukraine believes it is quite probable that the Trump administration will succeed in remaining in office beyond the 2028 election. Zelensky didn't come to Washington to sign a deal, but to show the American people and the world the nature of their President and his associates.
