There are Siloviki on their whole route to death except that last few hundred meters where they get handed off to the barrier troops. Few seem to work out an escape from that system.

  4. I suspect the Russians think the UAF near Avdiivka will become ineffective before they do. They keep thinking the break is just around the corner. Wagner did it in Bakhmut. The Russian MOD probably feels challenged to show they can do it, too. The F16s and more ATACMS cannot show up too soon.
