  1. If Ukrainian air power is up a notch or two in combat power, then that starts to tilt things Ukraine's way. The development of a potent Ukrainian air force is vital to its position going into any negotiation and preserving its future as a nation. I hope they have started the long process of developing an F-35 capability. I hope there are now Ukrainians quietly attending our military academies. They are going to need it if they still exist as a nation.
