  1. What Congress or the President needs to do is provide Walter Reed with a list of public officials when, if admitted, Walter Reed notifies the emergency contact on the list. It's something any hospital does. Sometimes the patient is in no condition to make that communication.

  2. I don't think he's fuming, but I do think he realizes he is in a serious bind. And he would get more grace and some military members back if he simply agreed and offered re-enlistment, time out of service penalty enough. Those who did refuse vaccination also need to face the fact that the COVID vaccine is very reasonably safe. I've had four of them myself without side effects. You get vaccinated for the well-being of the force as a whole, not just yourself. Military members have more cause to refuse to get into a V-22 Osprey. If they are finally willing to get the shot, then I think they should be able to re-enlist with loss of time in service.
