Comments by "Tim Trewyn" (@timtrewyn453) on "JUST IN: Rand Paul Moves To Block Sale Of F-16s To Turkey In Exchange For Sweden's Accession To NATO" video.
Senator, the F-16 is not our best aircraft. It is being replaced by the F-35. The F-16s will eventually age out of service. Sweden will likely remain in NATO for decades. Is it a pristine transaction? Certainly not. It is the world as it is.

@bobnunnemin1273 No nation is innocent. Türkiye is difficult to deal with, but it is better to deal with them. Why? Because we, America, are a nation of global commerce and our prosperity is connected to the stability commerce requires. If we get pushed out of, or "righteously" withdraw from more and more markets, our prosperity will be reduced. We are trending away from China, but just trending, because they have become so adversarial. I can understand a guy whose business inputs and outputs seem entirely American thinking isolation is OK. But international trade is a part of the American pie, and if gets reduced, that guy is going to see tighter finances somewhere in his inputs and outputs.

@lesliewoinarowicz7018 You miss my point Leslie. Sweden in NATO is more valuable than virtue signaling about Turkiye. I'm an Air Force Association member and a USAF avionics veteran. I've done upgrades. Beware of posts poking your conscience. There's usually a hidden agenda.

@bobnunnemin1273 "Armies and navies exist to protect commerce" -- John Dewey, American philosopher. Commerce is how humanity survives. Per capita GDP demonstrates that America is a commercial empire. This is in large part why people from all over the world immigrate to America. And we need them to grow out of the debt we have built up.

@bobnunnemin1273 The demand is there, and our competitors will gladly step in. I'm not entirely proud of it either, but ambitious psychopaths are out there, and we cannot simply ignore them or we will be watching our words and thoughts like Russians and Chinese have to.

@bobnunnemin1273 I am glad you do argue, and I hope it is a genuine argument from your conscience. How much have you studied psychopathy, or anti-social personality disorder as it is known in the DSM V? I am not saying you have the disorder. I am asking how much you understand it.
