  2. Clinton and Gingrich balanced the budget. Then came "W" and we haven't seen a balanced budget since. My conclusion is that the American private sector and its leadership are no longer politically or economically capable of balancing the budget or at least limiting budget deficits to the annual investment in long-term infrastructure assets (these are reasonable to amortize). Those forces finance the campaigns that persuade people to elect the legislators those forces want. Vote against the well-funded campaign. I applaud Mr. Roy for challenging these forces to the degree he does.
