Tax cuts have to have supporting spending cuts. We cut taxes and then complain the debt is too big. If Republicans want to spend more money on immigration, and border security is just one part of that, then I find it irresponsible that they set out to do that without even a modest tax increase to at least partially fund it. A modest tariff on border trade could be one source of funding. The problem is all the private interests that like things they way they are, like cheap illegal and willing and subservient immigrant labor. It's an affront to the dignity of every human being.
