  2. So if Senators know that a committee of three fellow Senators is working on a border bill, they cannot submit written input to that committee upon its formation or shortly thereafter? Wouldn't the committee realize that being responsive to that input is necessary to obtaining enough votes? Senator Lankford is an experienced, smart Senator. I have no doubt he would entertain every input received. Now all of a sudden Senators have a bunch of new ideas for the bill? Maybe better late than never, but it sure seems to coincide with conversations with Mr. Trump.

  4. I think I see American citizen contractors hire a green card subcontractor who hires illegals to do projects in the US. It's a profitable system for the American citizen contractor. Profitable enough to make campaign donations. Nobody seems to want to rock that boat too much. On the bright side, I think a bigger country population makes for a bigger economy. Helps the debt/GDP ratio. Yeah, gotta try to find the bad guys sneaking in, but most of these folks are here to make money and send some home. American kids don't want to do the jobs the illegals do. The system in a lot of ways is just the way American commerce wants it.

  5.  @misssadied193  I have a good job in America, and I know other Americans who consider themselves to have a good job. I have had a couple of bad jobs. It took me years of effort and self-denial to get my present job, the need for which will not disappear when I retire. I am sorry you feel bad. I suggest you take a break from YouTube and work on getting a better job.

  6. What about foreigners that get a 6-month tourist visa, fly over the border on a commercial airliner, and never leave?

  7. Try telling the US business community that the US will no longer issue any kind of entry visa (tourist or otherwise) because too many people overstay their visa and become illegal aliens. That's when the gentry gets on the phone and starts discussing a reroute of their campaign donations. People with a visa can legally fly into the US over any kind of border barrier.
