  1. What is new is that Russia has demonstrated the ability to sway enough voters through social media toward its interests. This happens in other open societies as well. Trump will age out. This vulnerability will remain. The US should consider its own social media posting capabilities, constantly countering falsehoods with truth.

  5. Unless there is an impeachment and removal of Mr. Trump, allies must plan their defense without the United States. They will not risk purchasing American weapons, one of America's largest exports and source of high paying jobs.
