Property owners and the wealthy don't at all mind the imposition or at least public indoctrination of "Thou shalt not steal". On this matter, church and state are generally aligned. And the mosque and state will take a thief's hands. Having one's hedonism poked is another matter. Our true beliefs are shown by the way we act.

Contemplate a long-cultivated, visceral empathy for the unborn in Catholic schools. Some with that background can hold their nose and vote for Trump. And he, and the Republican Party, use them for their very secular ends. I try to steer them to the American Solidarity Party. Some would call them Christian Democrats.

Trump is not overtly speaking to the classic core constituency of the Republican Party, which, given the legislation it passes demonstrates a platform of limited social services, maximum defense, tax cuts, and a public relations strategy to minimize Democratic use of the national credit so Republicans can maximize the use of public credit for their agenda. Republicans are not opposed to the government borrowing money, they are opposed to Democrats borrowing money. I've noted less empathy for the sick until Republicans themselves get cancer or some other life-threatening malady. Then empathy becomes a thing. Trump has no felt empathy, but he can read what a lot of people want to hear, and he delivers enough to win votes. He's a dangerous demagogue. I would encourage spiritual, pro-life Republicans to consider the American Solidarity Party, although its social services agenda may be very hard indeed to swallow.

No. I welcome the power of state and religion to decree, "Thou shalt not steal". It is a great stone in the foundation of capitalism. The political divide demonstrates the gullibility of people and the power of those who understand and manipulate that gullibility. The devout understand their own fallibility and take a posture of humility with others. And that is a demonstration of empathy, and the person with the character of a parent has empathy that extends to the unborn. That character development happens over time and the observation of and the experience of parenthood. I have observed grandmas with a visceral attachment to and protectiveness toward the young. It makes evolutionary sense that a tribe will seek to protect a budding life with the prospects of adding to the strength and joy of a community. In a way, I'm glad you are baffled. It shows you are looking at the issues with a healthy curiosity.

As a man, I sympathize to the extent that all men should be discriminately taxed for some of them putting women into unplanned pregnancies. That might create some peer pressure on men to be more considerate about the practical matters of sex. I would prefer that tax money be spent on that new human life and the mother handsomely compensated for the consequences of male negligence. We rolled smoking back a considerable distance. Perhaps "boys will be boys" can be rolled back a bit as well. And how could men ever understand menstruation and what it teaches women about life? Do tell. But I am having trouble with your syntax. When do not alive human cells turn into alive human cells? Ok, maybe I know what you mean. I do know many, if not most, embryos fail to survive. But should we even use the term "survive"? Are we just crushing a bug here? What species of bug? A human bug, but still a bug? What principles can we apply to the uniqueness of pregnancy? It would seem to be the principle of "What I want." And as I stood sweating in the heat in the sun and humidity on a sidewalk being demeaned by a screaming drill instructor as a B-52 flies overhead I thought, "What have I done? Why is this deemed necessary?" To those in the B-52, our little troop must have looked like bugs. And I never voted for Trump and never will.

Technically it does not prevent them. It might impede them. The devout know they are sinners. I think the religious and property owners are of one mind on the subject of theft. And "never understand" seems a bit narrow.
