  1. I cannot imagine a stronger motivation for Europe to convert to green energy. Russia sells oil and gas to extend its global interests and finance its expansionism. The US should also convert to green energy, while at the same time maintain and increase its oil and gas exports to displace Russian market share and help fund green energy conversions throughout the world. This is necessary due to climate change. Russia here reveals its dependence on oil and gas exports, which only exacerbate climate change.

  2. I learned that Russia doesn't care about climate change. They want more power through more sales of oil and gas and to limit oil and gas exports by other nations such as Venezuela and eventually Guyana. Otherwise why cry about the loss of Nordstream 2, which some would see as an act of environmental justice. I learned Russia is looking backward.
