Apart from working hours, what is important in employment and labor law, it's also number of paid leave days, like vacation leave, sickness leave, maternity leave or leave to take care of members of your family when they are ill (like a child or old parent) etc.

@yerri5567 In many European (EU) countries 40 hours a week it's a normal working time, so 8 hours a day. But what is important in employment is not only working hours, but also such things as number of paid leave days. In my country it's usually 26 days of paid holiday leave per year.

@yerri5567 So it's different, also within the EU (depending on the country labor regulations). And sometimes it depends also on the proffession and sector.
