Ok. A Coal powered Plant to generate electricity is 42 efficient. So right off the bat, your electric car is down 42 percent in efficiency. A diesel Engine Power Plant is around 45 percent efficient. So, A diesel engine powered car is more efficient than an EV right off the bat!! That is. If you are using a Coal Powered plant electricity. Hydro Electric plants are 90 percent efficient. So. If you want to use their power to charge your Electric car, you win. That means, we need to build nothing but Hydro Electric power plants! As of right now, most of our power is nuclear 33 percent efficient, and Natural gas 42-60 percent efficient. Transmission losses are around 15 percent. That means.. EV still losses.... I know this. But I still love all my EV's!! They are the future. Battery technology is coming on!!! As for now.. Stop the BS on EV's being so efficient and bla bla bla.. As long as you use coal, nuke or NG power plants to charge them , they are not as efficient as the IC engine because of this. Period!! So Stop with the BS!!. EV"s are cheaper to operate because of the cost of electricity makes them cheaper to operate. The more EV's coming along, the more that will change and cause your home electric bills to go higher and higher!! Remember... You were warned!!
