Agree that Bluesky shouldn't be doing this. Disagree with the characterization of the topics referenced as random, mundane, or even common. It's playing possum to pretend that these are not politically charged and pointed ideas. They're as innocuous and mundane as flat earth and moon landings. Let's be real here.

@retrocomputing You saw the first sentence? Here's one for you though. What should someone be removed for? What's the objective standard that doesn't ultimately mean "Whatever is against my values"?

@retrocomputing I think there are ways to discuss even sensitive things. Moderator opinion is always subjective though. Even considering the aforementioned concept as the standard would be subjective as words don't have definitions like in former times. They're pretty much whatever the zeitgeist and online culture says they are. The problem of the referenced standard or even that of legality is that laws aren't universal, are debatable, and selectively applied. I mentioned flat earth due to the fervor with which some people discuss these issues, their refusal to consider dispassionately, and their irrelevance to people at large. At some point it's just dogma for a sociopolitical profile. The ability to say words and have an opinion doesn't prove the validity of that opinion.

@p_serdiuk Which polls state that these are things that the public at large are concerned about (which would contradict them being mundane)? Why is it when polls agree with your position you take them as truth but when they don't, it's all a mainstream media conspiracy? Fiction.
