@Ocelot Whocametotea And to support the party of mass-infection and purges of peasants.
4
What do people want to hear? The news is supposed to be about things going on, not wish fulfilment.
4
Not really, is because they're a bunch of public schoolboys who believe they have the right to reign over us. They're backed up by a supine press who promotes their bad decisions thus leaving the population confused and bewildered. See: Hypernormalisation by Adam Curtis for where this all came from.
4
While Boris is doing his best to kill or incapacitate anyone who would vote for him...
4
Or maybe they're Tory idiots who are trying to mass-infect the populace and many of us are not having any of their nonsense so taking notice to proper doctors?
4
@johnf3885 Spain and France are full of Brits. Do they count as economic migrants, then? After all most of them go over, don't learn the language, live in a cultural bubble and export some nasty politics.
4
Tory party have always been the party of the big state - 'law and order', expensive aristocracy, military power... the only 'freedom' they do is for their rich chums.
4
AIDS, cancer, hepatitis... for that matter things like kidney disease and diabetes hardly show symptoms until you get really sick. Ditto for heart problems. Did you think you owned the libs with that meme?
4
@MotoFixation Umm, so you don't spread it to other people? You know, like if you have a STD and think 'Oh well, I'm okay, I'll keep sleeping with loads of women, is their fault if they get sick'...
4
The rich have more money to invest. The poor need to buy food and pay their rent.
4
It takes some talent to annoy New Zealand, China and France all at the same time for different reasons. Has the UK decided WW3 will be cool because no one will talk about Brexit anymore?
4
So can we explain why so many are fat now yet the British population of the 70s had lots of sugary snacks, fried things in large amounts, ate lots of junk and exercise for most people consisted of sitting in front of the telly watching Dad's Army? Not many McDonalds around but everyone went the chippy. Oh, and let's not forget the chain-smoking too. Yet folks of that era looked considerably more healthy that 2021 types, albeit with worse dress sense. Maybe the weight gain isn't entirely due to sloth and gluttony and there's other factors.
4
Boris has killed 150,000 individuals through his useless covid policies. Do they count?
4
Young people won't watch this. They might if its factual and accurate, but its going to be like TalkRadio with middle-aged weebs going on about Greta and lefties.
4
So football players are supposed to be automatons who do nothing but play football because GB News viewers are offended at them campaigning against racism? Do I have that right????
4
He's a creepy weirdo.
4
@stubones It certainly isn't going to solve the problem. Especially as many of those foreign drivers remember what happened last Christmas with the Kent variant and being stuck in car parks with no toilets for days.
4
Is quite funny that Zuck is using a term taken from Neil Stephenson's Snow Crash while seemingly not noticing Snow Crash is about a future dystopia and features super-corporations running the world, a gig economy, bitcoin-like money and a worn-down populatio- ooohhh.
4
@monsieurpoisson8163 Yep. My Uncle did national service in the 1950s, wound up in the Korean war but lived to tell the tale. It was abolished by the early 60s. Pretty much no one under the age of 75 (closer to 80 now) did national service in the UK. Of course lots volunteered to join the army but weren't made to by law.
4
To be fair we did that in the 80s, too when they were fighting the Russians. Go and Youtube Reagan meeting the Mujahadeen at the Whitehouse. Clarity: Yes I know there's different groups but suffice to say the Mujahadeen were jihadis helped by the ISI & Saudi (as well as the CIA), and so are the Taliban (sans the CIA now).
4
Yep, this has long been a thing. Every time unemployment rises the tabloids are full of stories about how British people are all lazy and won't take the jobs. They never ask why - for example if rural areas have high property prices and rents, is it possible to make a decent living doing farm labour and be able to live? Not really. In the past farm labourers could afford to rent a little cottage (or even buy), now those cottages are sold to out of towners for half a million quid. This is also the reason why so many of the young people from rural areas disappear to the big cities as soon as they're able.
4
Can we teach about class discrimination then? Like how British society is ruled by a few rich people who use the press to tell us we're in a meritocracy? Or is that extremism as well?
4
He's been paid to lie. I bet Dan is no stranger to the ol' Class As.
4
Covering stuff up isn't sense.
4
Well as the Tories were expecting a large win and have been smug about it for weeks, then is likely he took some.
4
We could just drive less and use public transport?
4
@badgoogle9938 NZ have avoided the worst and done incredibly well. Britain hasn't. Arguing NZ should copy Britain or the US makes absolutely no sense. Again, if zero covid is unattainable then what happened to Sars?
4
Well not the clown presenting this show, unless you want a fifth columnist as PM.
4
Do you usually run away scared from the news?
4
Culture war bollocks to keep the 'peasants' angry. We could have a discussion on how trade has been affected but is easier to scream about the forrins screwing us over.
4
This is correct, and has been confirmed by many business leaders - who are not exactly known for being left-wingers. Farage is trying his hardest to deflect from the disaster he fomented.
4
When was the last time you were on a train? Likes of the underground is packed like sardines. And yes, the pub rules are stupid but £££££.
4
Like herpes.
4
Tory voters realise now Boris is a con man. Despite people like his own conservative Newspaper editor boss telling them how useless he was years ago. Tory voters = not too sharp.
4
Yep, is the same with all reality shows. I used to chuckle at Undercover Boss where no one got suspicious the 'new guy' wearing a bad wig was being followed around by a camera crew. The argument was they told the staff the camera crew were 'filming a documentary about work' but no one ever got suspicious or went into a rant on camera about how the CEO is a coke-addled waste of space...
4
@adamgilbert2238 Not always - many science jobs are low-paid & its been well-known for years.
4
@wimkop9597 Doesn't matter, they're viral diseases that were devastating and we got rid of. Funnily enough we also got rid of the original Sars which is a fast changing respiratory disease. That was nipped in the bud before it killed millions.
4
@jasonmw1471 Yet its killed tons of under 50s, including super-fit body builder types.
4
@CastrolHondaSP2 Why, because I don't believe conspiracy guff off the Internet? Because I'm not brainwashed by anti-lockdown groups funded by rich Tories who want the peasants to die so they can keep the bucks flowing in?
4
@anthonydowling3356 Sweden has more deaths that other Nordic countries and had some restrictions. They've also been vaccinating a lot.
4
Farthing has made Boris & Raab look bad. The establishment will have their revenge.
4
So tell me why didn't that happen when the minimum wage came in? Or when the Tories increased the minimum wage?
4
The people funding the building? The public? The taxpayers who can't be bothered with dross like this and would rather the council sort things out and not flag wave.
4
No they don't. Only addle-brained Tories think that.
4
With Lady Whiteadder as a guest. Yikes.
4
Mrs Thatcher sold off state assets, used up the Scottish people's oil money and still had worse unemployment than when she came in (by far). She literally use other people's money for her own purposes. But apparently that's okay because she's a capitalist? Jeez, where did you lot go to school, the same place they teach Tellytubbies?
4
' those that seek to divide especially for their own political vanity.' - that's the Tory party, mate. And the Tory press.
4
You forget about Mary Whitehouse. Know your history, kids.
4
@MrAdrianOldfield Please no.
4
That would be interesting, but we have a country of Nimbys who kick off about solar panels and wind turbines. Pretty sure they'll kick off even worse if someone wants to build a Thorium station a mile away from their country residence.
