Poverty is not the reason . Many well to do , and some very rich , also steal . It is a mindset . Many poor people worked to advance their lives rather than turn to crime

@Cupid-Stunt We incarcerate too many for victimless crimes . We punish too lightly for others .
4
@Cupid-Stunt Many are repeat offenders . Many do not belong there . A number is meaningless . All those that harm others belong in prison .
4
We need a better interaction with those susceptible to a life of crime . Proper punishment serves as a deterrent to those " thinking " about it . When they see others commit offenses , and slapped on the wrist , they feel it pays to " take the chance "
4
The no rent moratorium emboldened many to stop paying rent . Why ? Because the penalty of eviction was removed . You can't offer incentives for doing the " wrong thing "
4
@Cupid-Stunt The " poor " that victimize SHOULD be imprisoned . Same for any other class !!!
4
We have insufficient policies in this country when it comes to education . Not everyone is college material . We need to offer trades and apprenticeships as alternatives.
4
@promethiac2641 Do you blow her up at on lonely nights ?

Liberals will never understand that they're will always be a certain percentage of people that would rather turn to crime than do the hard work . The existing social programs ensure all to food , schooling , shelter , etc. Lowering penalties for breaking the law will only embolden said population .
3
@promethiac2641 Poverty alone does NOT cause crime ! Are you suggesting that ALL poor people commit crimes ? It's a mentality , due to their particular circumstances
3
@Cupid-Stunt The Australian convicts were not " hard " criminals . England had no social net at the time . People became debtors , or stole for food . England found a new land , needed to establish colonies , so they sent , essentially , the poor to Australia
3
@promethiac2641 Who ? The unmasked ? Again , victimless . They are hurting themselves - not the vaccinated .
3
@promethiac2641 The vast majority withstand it . Like I said , even the very rich commit crimes
2
@promethiac2641 Are you content with government officials not being held accountable for their crimes ?
2
@promethiac2641 Are you projecting ?
2
@promethiac2641 Convicted murderers ? What about those that loot or steal ? Should they serve a 6 month sentence and walk free ? Look at the Jan 6th rioters. Are they being adequately punished ?
2
@Cupid-Stunt She's just a Trump mouthpiece
1
@Cupid-Stunt Nope . It isn't. There are many reasons for that .
1
Most working Americans want a stricter Law and Order society . No one enjoys being robbed . It is necessary to punish those that punish others.
1
@promethiac2641 Absolutely NOT ! These are victimless crimes . They aren't necessarily hurting people directly
1
@promethiac2641 For the 37th time , Drug offenses should NOT warrant jail time . Cost is irrelevant . It is necessary . People spend money on alarm systems and surveillance cameras , costing them money , so as to deter crime . Some people will always turn to crime if the opportunity arises - rich and poor alike !
1
The poor are most often the victims of crime . They should be allowed to live their lives in peace . They themselves , want the criminals in their neighborhoods locked away !
1
@promethiac2641 Of course ! Make room for true criminals . If their only crime was selling , or using drugs . Not if they stole for the money to use drugs , however
1
@promethiac2641 Fox , like all cable news , is for the simple minded . No detailed analysis of any issue is gained by watching an echo chamber
1
@promethiac2641 Elected officials don't necessarily do what they feel is right . They pander to their electorate . When their electorate is misinformed, we suffer
1
@promethiac2641 Restrict voting to the informed ? Not popular . As long as the ill- informed are able to vote , we will have bad government . Too many " root" for a party over country .
1
@promethiac2641 155 million Americans voted in the last presidential election . We don't have anywhere near 155 million educated voters . Maybe , just a tenth of that figure are actually well informed
