@Boriqua-D5 politicians have little to fear when it comes to enriching themselves while in office . Since so many " root " for a party , politicians can always count on their respective continuents to keep them in their positions . Gerrymandering makes this worse .

@Boriqua-D5 Doesn't really matter if they help their constituents , they'll continue to vote them in . All they need do is brandish the talking points and their constituents will continuously excuse their behaviors cause they're on the same team !

@Boriqua-D5 If we could construct districts into more varied walks of life , rather than a monolithic set of like minded people , politicians would be more accountable to the voting public . It's why both parties like the idea of gerrymandering . They're safer in those spaces

Too many vote for rhetoric , not progress . They believe the lies told to them from their safe spaces . Cable news outlets have got to go . More accountability should be directed against biased newscasts .
