Independence Day isn't simply a day to barbq and drink beer either ! It's fireworks , parades and displaying the Stars and Stripes - too many are turning this great day into just another day off from work !

The Spanish and Portuguese had colonies throughout Central and South America . The Spanish only had Florida in North America . The French had colonies in what is now Canada . The Dutch had only what is now Manhatten Island . The English however , had colonies throughout the eastern seaboard of what is now the great nation of America !!
