Evident in this thread , is the dire need to restrict voting rights . Only intelligent , non partisans should have a voice in our government . Too many just plainly " root " for politicians .

As long as a large proportion of the the populace continues to blindly vote along party lines , continues to excuse behavior of their party's leaders , and live within echo chambers , we will continue having crooked and downright wacky candidates . They can personally benefit with impunity , as long as they continue to deliver the talking points their respective continuents request .
