So the moral of the story is: Americans need to get their security clearance. It's ironic how loudly we promote capitalism, but when the capitalist interest of minimizing costs renders us economically uncompetitive, only government interventions and positions can keep us on a payroll.

For those curious, "Da'esh" (داعش) is the acronym used in the Arabic-speaking mainstream to delegitimize the group from Islam as a whole, and is pronounced like "dah-esh" (or "dah-EESH" to make it sound more toxic). It's notable because acronyms in general rare in Arabic, and is similar in sound to terms that translate to "one who stomps on" and "one who sows discord".
