@jakewamp67 No, a natural infection doesn't produce antibodies as well as vaccine trained ones. Whole viruses seem to give noisier feedback to the immune system, and could be why Chinese vaccines using weakened whole viruses aren't doing as well especially against Delta.

@tns4358 Antibodies derived from whole viruses seem to be noisier and less able to bind to the virus parts, hence why the Chinese vaccines which use this technique aren't doing as well as the mRNA/viral vector ones that produce clean spike proteins. As for side effects, the chances drop drastically immediately after getting the shot (hence the just 15~30 minute waiting period), and anything that would happen would become noticeable within about three months. By then practically all the components have been metabolized and flushed from your system, and you're left with antibodies or not.
