  1. It's the transportation part that's an issue with Mexico, which besides safety its geography isn't very conducive to developing a lot of rail corridors or seaports. But luckily the rising costs of doing business with China is making investments with Mexico more competitive.

  2. Most of the money is staying in Mexico though. Unlike BRI projects, Chinese companies can't convince Mexico to allow import of an army of Chinese workers who set up walled colonies with exclusive services where money flows can bypass the host nation.

  3. Made in China will degrade over time as Mexican manufacturers develop themselves as replacements.
