  1. The Wealth Tax described doesn't take effect for the first $50m. Above that level if you can't afford to spare a few thousand, there's something wrong with the way you work.

  3. Sales tax? Would a high-transaction inheritance ("death") tax count too? That's also arguably spending money on a service: the maintenance of wealth and legacy.
