  3. It's not as fast, but it's there. Downtime is only a couple minutes at most compared to hours or days from all the terrestrial infrastructure getting broken regularly.

  4. Can confirm, in the Philippines PLDT had to really step up its game in rolling out speedy reliable fiber services at good prices ever since Starlink came online. My family is among Starlink's first customers there and we enjoyed excellent service for the first couple years until too many neighbors bought in (Greater Manila is similarly oversubscribed now). PLDT finally connected us a few weeks ago and is now our primary, but cell service is weak in our area so we're keeping the Starlink dish online just in case. The house has a commercial grade setup so there's immediate failover back to satellite whenever the fiber goes dark.
