  1. Right, it's not so much the ability to squeeze out smaller architectures as the profitability in making them. Sure you might get like 5 successes per wafer, but to scale up for the market it needs to be more like maximum 5 defects per wafer.

  2. Most Western media sources parrot the figures coming out of China, either because they can't independently verify or because they're too lazy to try. Either way it would help for them to mention that they're repeating a Chinese news source instead of fully owning the report.
