Unfortunately for us younger students and workers, retirees are at their peak of political value having much more free time to get indoctrinated by media and get in line to vote.

Cargo is always more profitable -- no humans to provide life support, stretching space, and other comforts to. It's part of the reason for checked bag limits and fees, because scaled to a full plane that could be another one or two ULDs that could have sold as an air waybill instead.

I'm an American and I prefer self-checkout. It's usually faster and I'm not so pressured to clear the line when bagging the stuff while putting my card and receipt into my wallet. It also helps I'm a one-person household where my whole cart fits into a single hand basket.

Hence the rise of new and renovated lounges, and rebuilds of terminals altogether. Probably because a more comfortable ground experience is still cheaper and more practical than trying to do similar inflight.

I’d propose forfeiture of medical compensation for injuries sustained while riding a powered vehicle with wheels less than 12” in diameter without a helmet. I’ve been on those things before and it is among the most dangerous rides I’ve ever taken on public streets, and I’m licensed for full-power motorcycles.

Right, that's the danger of using debit where it's your money that goes missing if someone skims your swipe. Meanwhile on a credit card it's the bank's money, and they have the motivation and the professional staffing to go get it back.

I subscribe to the local docked bikeshare. Per mile they’re cheaper, faster, more reliable, and better maintained than anything left loose on the street (I lived in China where bikes were all undocked).

You have to be careful about your scooter’s quality and maintenance though. In Dubai they had banned all e-scooters on the metro after one started smoking in a station, and in China nobody dares bring one into the subway.

Powered kickboards are among the most dangerous things I've ever ridden, and I've been licensed from motorbikes to combat trucks. It's the small wheels and standing still position that turns a decent crack or pebble into an automatic faceplant, and you're often not wearing a helmet like you really ought to.

Hence why it's great to be an American... overseas. From what I hear among working age Americans they're more than ready to move abroad permanently as long as they're still paid in USD.

@MissRora It's swift compared to having the different banks (not only separate businesses but also often different countries) negotiate transaction costs, reconcile the transfers, and ensure security in between on their own as they did before joining SWIFT. WU is all in-house, which is why a WU remittance is so much faster.

December drop: Video about the evolution of credit cards, just in time for all the Christmas spending. January drop: Video about the random convergence of video topics, following the December surge of videos describing the evolution of credit cards.

I know of Citigold Lounges, but those are in their bank locations meant for clients with like a half-million or more in their accounts to meet with a manager in person.

Cruise ships are human-centered environments that let you walk to each venue at your leisure, which is not the case on the streets especially in America.

Safer too. Larger wheels and a seated position means you won't automatically faceplant over a pebble.

17:12 Older workers are more compliant probably because they're literally more done with life. There's not as much potential ahead to worry about developing or salvaging when managing their personal relationships and economic decisions. It's not necessarily a Lazy Millennial/Gen Z thing either, I'm sure many Boomers held the same distracted attitudes at that age. The only difference is the intensity with society demanding constant connectivity and faster responses.

Steaks were my go to meal when working from home and cooking for myself during COVID lockdowns, where I was in SE Asia at the time and I could readily get Australian grass-fed cuts from the supermarket for like $20/kg 🥩
