Allowing citizens to control supply of goods and services ultimately allows the same citizens to steer the underlying policies and the politicians who make them, and there’s a lot of common animosities against the Party that can quickly get explosive once the Chinese people aren’t siloed and gaslit into thinking it’s all just personal problems they carry.
