China isn't helping itself. I noticed things getting more inconvenient if not hostile towards people traveling with foreign passports on the Mainland.

China has "rules" but they're deliberately vague and unevenly enforced. Business are realizing that there is really no way to "stay within the rules", and the best way to maintain profits longer term is to divest out of China.
