  2. As if maintaining a medieval mindset just with modern weapons is any better? It's only lasted so long because of oil and the foreign money it brings, and that's disappearing as both production costs and alternative energy sources rise. Hajj visa sales alone wouldn't support even the current "pious" lifestyle of the Kingdom.
