  1. Not necessarily, all the delays and questionable quality have irritated the Indonesians; rumor is they're approaching Japan again to complete the rest of the line to Surabaya. Plus there's growing protest about Chinese mining operations, and questions about those crew cut-hairstyled Chinese "tourists" crawling all over Riau. That's on top of their classic suspicions about anyone identified as atheist, Communist, and/or Chinese.
