Singapore is what the CPC wants to be, but it conveniently forgets that S'pore: actively celebrates diversity and doesn't try to Sinicize the population; admittedly depends on immigrants; cracks down on officials on even the perception of corruption; doesn't present a threat of military conquest against its neighbors; and holds open elections and accepts the results, even in the face of declining popularity; 🇸🇬🦁

  2.  @vnc81  Right, Singaporeans can get the outside perspective and yet they still elect the government and policies they have now. In China the government lives in constant fear of alternative views getting realized among its people, and they spend a lot of resources ensuring that even VPNs don't work all the time.

  4. It gets developed, but doesn't necessarily get implemented in a large nation, especially if previous developments make the new costs prohibitive compared to what's there now.
