I run two or three dehumidifiers (or A/C in dry mode) constantly in my apartment wherever I move to, and have never experienced a mold problem either in the tropics, the surprisingly humid Persian Gulf, or through half the year in northern China. Bonus is I don't need to run the A/Cs as intensely, and the bathroom I put them in doubles as an extra dryer with a clothes rack and a closed door.

All high-voltage transmission cables are aluminum, so it's not a fundamental flaw of the material. I'd think the lighter weight and inexpensiveness (both to purchase for the owner and its scrap value for thieves) would dramatically help expand the ubiquity of charging points, making EVs finally as attractive as ICE cars who enjoy a century's worth of development in a network of gas stations.

  5. It seems ground-up right angle plugs are becoming more readily found in the US. They're already common overseas in places where they use NEMA or multi-standard sockets.
