  2.  @scottowensbyable  I do not believe that conservatives are the most generous. I’ve seen no evidence of that whatsoever. Perhaps in a small town...not federally, where Republicans vote against “handouts” even in the midst of a recession or the current pandemic.

In the middle of the recession, when people who had worked in good jobs for 30 years lost everything because they couldn’t find jobs, my Republican brother thought it was awful that so many people were on food stamps. My dad , raised by his grandma ( who worked as a department store alterations lady),so poor that the Salvation Army bought him his glasses and he had no winter coat, must be spinning in his grave.
