  3. I have news for the guy who claimed “Democrats haven’t protected jobs: “ Republican-led states have busted unions. Here in Tennessee, where there are thousands of factory jobs that once were unionized, the only unionized plants are in Chattanooga at the VW plants. That’s because, after politicians persuaded naive workers to vote against the union, VW started one. They’re used to having organized workers, who elect their leaders to represent them in negotiations with VW.

  4. You know, maybe they should look beyond the union to see what Democrats have done for Americans. Women getting the vote; Roosevelt NewDeal gave us rural electrification, Social Security, the G.I. Bill; Harry Truman integrated the military; John F. Kennedy put a man on the moon, created the Peace Corps, and negotiated a treaty banning a type of testing nuclear weapons. Lyndon Johnson signed into law the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act. Clinton balanced the budget, added 23 million new jobs, and oversaw the longest peacetime economic expansion ever. Obama reformed our healthcare system and made insurance available to 32 million previously uninsured Americans and got rid of “preexisting conditions,” insurance companies’ favorite means of denying coverage. Hmmm. Now, what have Republicans done?

  6.  @PhysicalEntity Yes, he does. We’re members of NATO, whose members are assisting Ukraine in Russia’s war against them. Russia is our enemy, by the way, despite some conservatives pretending otherwise.
