@daddylee4216 How about you come up with anything at all that Republicans have done for you? Can’t count the tax cut, because that is smaller each year for ordinary Americans until it’s gone in 2025. Dems, on the other hand, are responsible for women’s rights, including to vote; workers’ rights (the 8-hour day, sick leave, unemployment compensation); the New Deal, Social Security, Medicare, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the ACA, which covers millions of Americans. Clinton balanced the budget and added 23 million jobs. Obama led the recovery from the Bush recession, even with deliberate obstruction from Republicans.

@glennlewis835 Are you nuts? Show me one example of Republicans helping poor Americans. Trump’s corporate tax cut, which is sun setting on all of us who aren’t developers or in the top one percent, has ballooned the deficit. Take a look. No millionaires will benefit from stimulus payments or unemployment benefits. The package contains money for vaccines, for hiring extra qualified people to administer the vaccines, to open schools, gives money for police and fire departments in all cities suffering from loss of income due to covid. And by the way, blue states bail out red states, not the other way around. Look it up. Whose state budgets gain more from federal money ? Red states, including the one I live in, which is rabidly Republican and made it harder to qualify for unemployment during the Bush recession , cut the number of weeks, and the amount of the weekly payments when there were no jobs. It’s always Republican administrations that grow deficits, because they always cut taxes. Obama? Yeah, the deficit grew because of the cost of recovering the economy from Bush’s mess. Even then, Republicans didn’t want to pay for the stimulus.
