It only devalues if your Nation does not play ball to those who are in charge with the infrastructures of the Cryptocurrency. Bit Coin only acted somewhat like the Gold Standard is because it was backed by scarcity. But Cryptocurrency that is coming is backed by a Nation's resources. You don't need Banks. You don't need Goldman & Sachs. You just need a Governing body that monitors your daily transactions. Wall Street will be out of the job. Hedge managers will be out of the job. The people you hate like the IRS will be out of the job. The only problem is, you will be in a digital network prison which gets worse when Neural Link becomes highly advanced. No one can stop it because the temptation is just so great not to implement it.
